This week our group worked diligently to make revisions to both of our brochures. I worked on making sure I adhered to both the comments given by Ryan and the Humane Society. I worked on making the content very customer appealing and more geared towards what the Humane Society was asking. Our group worked very well together this week to get our brochures ready for the final draft. Stephen and Daniel worked on revising the Genereal Brochure to perfection, while Cory and I worked on the Caring for your pet brochure.
This week our group put all of the feedback together and targeted all the problem areas that were
This week was the last group conversation before the final draft was to be submitted. We started the week by giving each other feedback on the status of the brochure itself. Rachael suggested that someone should gather all the information and ideas that were produced into a list. Bill was great especially since he made one of the more important alterations in the brochure to make the brochure more presentable. Keeli then reviewed the brochure once again to find a few grammatical errors. Afterwards, Bill made some more alterations in the colors, pictures as well as the charts and graphs.
This last week went fairly well for our group. We all communicated well and were able to complete our brochure in a timely manner. THe main goal for this week was to revise our brochure for the last time. On Monday I went over the feedback provided by the CRFC, and then I considered there recommendations. On Tuesday I went back and changed a lot on the brochure based off of the feedback. I tried to revise the paragraphs because they were a bit choppy. I also aligned some of words on the brochure. My job was just to fix the shortcomings on the brochure.
This being our final week our team just revised our brochures and tried to listen to what the reviews said to make them look as professional as we could. We changed up a few backrounds and pictures in both of the brochures. I filled out my teams project assessment for the end of the class, which had nothing but good remarks. Laura, Matt, and Samana were great to work with. They really carried our team and made the work what it is. It was tough to communicate towards the end of the past week. Everyone it starting to migrate back to school.
This week was another good one for my group. We continued to use email as our main form of communication and communicated pretty well. Pat started out the week by emailing the group to get an update on our individual progress. Since he was in charge of the design of the brochure and putting it all together, he also asked for suggestions on the design. Meepa, Beth, and I all turned our revised articles in to Pat, along with any design suggestions we had. We made our final revisions using the suggestions of the CFRC and our peers.
After turning ni our very good second draft, I sent out an email at the end of last week saying that I would not be available until Monday night because I was going away for the weekend since it was a long weekend because of a national holiday in Peru. That same Monday I went on the course website to check on the feedback the other classmates gave us as well as the client feedback. I also checked my email and saw that Melissa sent out an email saying that we shoud meet that night at 9pm central time.
Week 8, the last week, was another good week for group 1. Over the weekend I sent out an email to the group members to recap what we still needed to get done. According to our Gantt chart, we were supposed to have our final revisions in by Tuesday, and our Work Blog and Analysis in by Friday. My group members sent me input in on time so I could start making final revisions on our brochure.
After receiving feedback from the Community and Family Resource Center and from Mr. Tirrell, we spent this week using the suggestions to revise our brochure for the last time. After a big improvement and refocus from the first to the second draft, the transition from the second to the final was much less strenuous. Many of the comments we received had to deal with visual aspects, but for the most part, our reviewers were content with the content of our text. There were minor areas that we needed to reword or omit altogether, but they were quick adjustments.
This week was a busy week because our final group project was due on Wednesday. We received comments from other groups and the Humane Society about our brochures. After reviewing the comments from the Humane Society I realized that I went in a different direction than the Humane Society and it was not a good representation of them. This caused me to completely redo the brochure. I started from scratch and reformatted everything to be more “warm” and added more pictures per the Humane Society’s request.
