Tom, I really like your layout in terms of spacing with the design. The side note bulletin on the left side can be very effective in terms of support our text. We should probably keep that idea in front of us when designing our final white paper. I like your design layout in aspects of how well all the side panels are arranged with the intention to help guide the reader’s eye to the important information. I’m not sure if I personally like that shade of green you selected with your design. It might look better if you turn down the opacity of it so it’s not too intense.

I definitely like where your heading with this. The side column and note are a good idea and I also think we should definitely incorporate that figure that you made into our final document. I'll have to agree with Gary here on the green though. I was thinking we may want to go with sort of a blue color to supplement any screenshots, if we use them in our paper. Of course that's also assuming the screenshots are taken in a standard blue Microsoft window. Anyways, we can talk about colors later. The only thing I saw that you might want to change is the large block of text you have. We don't want the reader to be turned off by too little white space within the actual writing. I'm sure once we begin the actual writing it will be sectioned off into paragraphs though and we can leave space in between each so it really shouldn't be a problem. Nice Work.

Tom- I like the overall layout of your thumbnail. It has good distribution of text and graphics without feeling too cluttered. The amount of white space works well, making the document look complete. I also like the use of the text box to show the main points of the text. This will allow the reader to know what the main ideas are for reference or before they read on. I’m going to agree with Bill and Gary about the color. The green looks fine but we might be able to find a color that looks a little cleaner. Over though, I think you a layout that would work very well for our white paper.
