Subject: Group 2 Activity Report – Week 14

Here we are at the end of yet another productive week. This week our group has had several accomplishments. Overall our biggest accomplishment has been the research that we have all completed in regards to wind turbines. Previously, we divided the research up into four portions, and then assigned these portions to each member of the group. Ben continued his research on the problems associated with the current power options and the need for alternatives to these power options. Young continued his research on the solutions to the problems caused by the current power options. Brian continued looking into the technology used to provide the solutions. Bobby also continued looking into the performance data associated with this technology. As we have been researching our topics we have been collaborating with each other. This has allowed us to streamline the research process and has also prevented redundant research.

In addition to our research, we all created thumbnails that depicted possible layouts for our white paper. After analyzing each group member’s thumbnail, we discussed the best aspects of each person’s thumbnail. We will now try and incorporate the best portions of each person thumbnail into our white paper’s layout. One of these attributes that will carry over into our final layout is the use of green headers. We decided that since our white paper was covering a “green” topic, that the use of green header would help complement our white paper. Another aspect of these thumbnails that will transition to our final white paper will be the use of a single column format. This format will be complemented with the use of text boxes that will be used to ensure clarity in some of our paper’s more technical portions.
