English 421Y: Technical Writing Online

Continuing from last week we each had quite a bit to work on this week. Most of it was working on the research and creating thumbnails and writing a reply for each of the group member’s thumbnail. For our group we already had the lists of what parts of the research each of us were going to analyze.

For this week, and carrying over from last week, the research was broken up with cost, usability, reliability, hardware features, software features, and customer service. Joey is taking charge of the hardware features and additional costumer research. Scott is planning to look at usability and reliability of the phones. Emil is looking into operating systems, hardware, rankings, and support. Zebulon is researching on the public opinions, rankings, and why people are choosing the phones. Doddy is researching support and customer reviews.

On the thumbnails, I don’t know if everyone understood that we each had to create a thumbnail and write reviews for each other. Joey and Zebulon both created the thumbnails and wrote replies for each other. Joey had a good layout of color scheme and design and Zebulon had a good order of how the information should appear. We plan to critique both of theses thumbnails into one really good one using the best parts from each others thumbnail.

During this week our communication was not as good as it has been in the past weeks. We have had a lot of work assigned this week from other classes, and we have ended up communicating rather slow with one another. This was a minor set back for knowing where everyone stood as far as what work was completed and who was working on what.

Overall, this week definitely needed help with the communication with this week, hopefully next week it will be better with fewer assignments so we can get this White Paper in a good solid draft form
