English 421Y: Technical Writing Online

This report is the summary of the progress toward the White Paper project, mainly working on the research and creating a thumbnail; starting from last Monday (April 13) to today (April 19).

While researching for my part, I mainly tried to find good sources of public information on input about the three phones. Spent one night this week using search engines with different key phrases to narrow down what I was looking for. I found a lot of information to use while writing the White Paper. While researching I found some useful information that the other members of my group can use towards their parts; so I copy and pasted some links in the common area on Microsoft Live for other could use.

With the thumbnail, it was brought to my attention that all the members of the group had to make a thumbnail and not just one for the group. So I made a quick thumbnail that is more structured for a layout of information rather appealing to the eye. Joey and I were discussing how we could combine our best features to make our thumbnail.

For this week, I also wrote the Group Activity blog.

Overall, I feel that this week I accomplished a lot with research and the thumbnail. The one down side was the communication that our group lacked; I think this is from the amount of work being assigned from classes, wrapping up the end of the semester.
