English 421Y: Technical Writing Online

This week was crunch time. Everyone did their best to meet tonight’s deadline so we could have a good base for the final draft. Group communication continued to be strong throughout the week, with everyone having a say in the direction of the project. After a lot of writing, revising, and formatting a solid rough draft has been produced.

The only real issue we had this week was getting all of our data and outlines ready so the writing process could begin. Once we all came together with our information the writing process went quickly. Bill and Tom really stepped up and put in the extra time making sure all the writing was done right. Hats off to them. After the rough sections were written for each browser, we each read through them. We revised and gave feedback for possible corrections on grammar and/or content. We figured it was best to have everyone revise, the more eyes the better. After all the group members signed off on the content it was time to put it in our chosen format. We all agreed on using Gary’s format since it would be best suited for our white paper and the content we are presenting.

As always, the communication was strong throughout the week. At any given time, group members knew what needed to be done and stepped up to accomplish it. We had a meeting earlier in the week and discussed all the important tasks that needed to be completed by tonight. Everything we set out to finish was met and we will be able to turn in a quality rough draft. The rough draft we have produced should be a solid base for the final white paper. Everything we have done up to this point has laid the groundwork for simple revisions and formatting.
