English 421Y: Technical Writing Online

This week was spent finishing up research, creating a detailed outline, and ensuring that everyone was on the same page. All group members agreed that a detailed outline should be completed by Monday so that writing could begin. I finished my outline for Opera and made sure everything was in order to simplify the writing process. The rest of the week was spent talking with group members to ensure we were all on the same page. Once some of the rough text was posted on Google Docs, I proof read them, along with other group members to see if there were any corrections or major revisions that needed to be made. Minor revisions were made to each section before they were compiled into the final format. Before everything was put into its final place, I made sure everyone had what they needed and that we agreed on the revisions/format. We came down to the wire due to size of the PDF and having to find a way to combine six different PDF’s. Once that was worked out we each looked the draft over one last time before I uploaded it to the site. It was definitely tedious working on the draft up until the deadline but I think the draft we produced was worth it.
