Its Called Cornhole because of the Corn!

The process that I am choosing for the project is creating a regulation set of cornhole(bags for most people) boxes. A lot of people create a different selection of cornhole boxes. Some create collapsible sets that are ideal for tailgating, or others create full size regulation boxes that are suited for legal game play. Cornhole has become a craze in many states and is very similar to horseshoes. This activity seems easy but can be challenging with expert opponents. I chose this process for this project because most builders do not take into considerations the rules and regulations. There are many aspects to a regulation set of cornhole boxes and would make a great instruction manual. In my experience I have made over 20 sets of cornhole boxes and have learned the characteristics of a good set of boards. The two separate audiences that I would be focusing on would be the avid players of the game and the recreational (for fun) players. These two audiences have large differences because this game is played in many tournaments and have many serious players. On the other hand the game is played in simple pretenses such as backyard play or tailgating. When making the instruction manual I will build a set and follow step by step processes. I will also include computer graphics to make the process more visually appealing. With a table of contents and well laid out steps, the process will be an easy to follow guide.

I seems as though you have a start here. You establish your topic, discuss its legitimacy, and mention your credibility on the subject. The two main aspects of this proposal that would benefit from expansion are differentiating the audience groups and discussing concrete specifics of the instructions themselves. About your audience groups you state: "The two separate audiences that I would be focusing on would be the avid players of the game and the recreational (for fun) players. These two audiences have large differences because this game is played in many tournaments and have many serious players. On the other hand the game is played in simple pretenses such as backyard play or tailgating." However, notice that these statements are about usage of the boxes, not about their construction. You don't clarify why the two groups would have different experiences building the boxes, regardless of how they will be used afterward.

Also, you state that "I will also include computer graphics to make the process more visually appealing," but you don't clarify what these graphics will actually contain and what specific effect they will have. Additionally, I would like to know what format the instruction sets will take. Will these be printed manuals? What medium would make sense for each audience in the context of the task? Think about these issues as you go forward.
