Doddy, I just want to start out by saying that I think your topic is very original and it is something that most people would not know how to do. I used to be an avid golfer and have changed numerous grips on clubs, and it’s not the hardest thing to do, but can be a difficult task if you don’t know what your doing.
Your sample graphics are good and they look professional. I like the picture with the different re-gripping tools and I think that when you actually make your instructions it will be a good idea to have good graphics of how each tool is used. I really like how your novice instructions are set up and they are very pleasing to the eye. Your expert instructions are also pretty good, but it just seems like right now there is a lot of text, and that might be something that the reader will not like and might cause them not to read it.
I can't get a really specific sense of how your instruction sets are going to develop, but it seems like you've got a solid start. I would point out that these documents appear to be at 8.5 x 11 dimensions, and as the project page states, we expect you to use the appropriate dimensions for the task (this is a design issue). If it's appropriate for these works to be in 8.5 x 11 format, that's fine, but you don't want a program's default settings to make your design decisions for you. The key is to think about the individual needs, expectations, and values of each audience group, and consider the circumstance under which they'll be using your instructions. For example, it might make sense if your work was in a format that would fit conveniently in a golf bag, such as a small printed booklet.
I like the overall concept that you are going for in your novice thumbnail, but I'm not sure about how you are going about presenting your information in the novice thumbnail. I don't know if the section listing at the top is the right look. I think that listing the sections at the top would be a nice touch if there were more than two pages that way it would be easier for people to find information on a multiple of pages. Another bit of advise is in regard to your thumbnails. I like that you are showing the equipment, but showing the equipment at work would be a better way of providing a reference to your readers.
