1. Do the graphics in the instructions give the proper information help with the
process?

Your graphics do improve your instructions but I think you that you could add more to the novice set of instructions to aid them in creating the cornhole sets. One way you could do this is by showing exactly what the cornhole set should look like at each step. I know this would be a pain for you since you probably already have a cornhole set made but you might be able to find some pictures online. Another suggestion is that you rearrange the tool images so that they are in the order in which you list them. This should help your novice users distinguish between the different tool types.

2. Does the flow of the document help with the process of making the cornhole
boxes?

Your steps seem to flow in a logical manner.

3. Are the dimensions of the box unclear in any way?
My only suggestion here is to spell out “Dia” entirely, that way your novice users are aware that you are specifying the diameter.

4. Are the colors in the instruction manual interesting and vivid?
The beginning and end of your instruction manual are but the middle is rather boring. Perhaps you could add find some colored bullets or make it so that the “Steps” header stands out more.

5. Is the overall document useful to an everyday person?
I feel that the expert set is definitely suitable for experts but I think that the novice set might be a bit advanced. I recommend that you suggest detailed information about the wood they should use to make these boards (sheet wood, thickness, treated, etc...). It would also be beneficial to break your steps down and include greater detail. Let your novices know what tools to use to make the certain cuts and how to go about varnishing the boards.

1. Do the graphics in the instructions give the proper information help with the
process?
The graphics start off well, but I think you need a lot more in the novice set to help them out. Each piece that is cut and/or joined to another should possibly have a picture to aid the written instruction.

2. Does the flow of the document help with the process of making the cornhole
boxes?
The instructions seem to flow in the correct order.

3. Are the dimensions of the box unclear in any way?
I think some people might have trouble with the dimensions the way you currently portray them. When they cut the pieces, are they supposed to follow the dimensions listed, or cut them so that each piece when joined meets the shown dimensions? ie…cut the front end piece 2.5 in, or cut the front end piece so that the front is 2.5 in after everything is attached together.

4. Are the colors in the instruction manual interesting and vivid?
I think these instructions could use a little more color. I also think the bullets are a little overpowering. Maybe shrinking them would help out a little.

5. Is the overall document useful to an everyday person?
The documents are a little advanced at the moment. They need a little more detail and visuals to really make them useful. Adding the required wood, type, size, width, etc, needs to be included. Also, any finishing products should also be listed. Possibly adding some ideas for special graphics on the expert set would help the user out.
