This week, in addition to the reading responses and blog posts that pertained to the project, I spent a lot of time e-mailing with my group and planning out the project. I found three sources dealing with wireless security to contribute to our list of potential sources on Google Docs.
I also spent some time talking with Pat about our proposal and brainstorming about the best way to proceed with a project of this size. We concluded that it’d be easiest if the entire group had a quick “meeting” via AIM or in person (if possible) so we could all be on the same page before doing more work.
I wrote the document design portion of our proposal. I mainly used the white paper samples for the reading response and the posted design analyses to make decisions about what we wanted to do with our design. I have seen some white papers before, and I think those that are most effective follow the main points I set up in our proposal.
Finally, this was my week to take care of our group’s weekly activity report. We had kept a running list of bullet points on Google Docs about what we had completed this week, so I used this list to compile our report. I then sent the report to the rest of the group members to review and posted it to the course web site after it was approved.
re: What I Did in Week 12 ...
There are good examples of concrete ways that you contributed to the project in this report. Make sure that you explicate statements such as: "I found three sources dealing with wireless security to contribute to our list of potential sources on Google Docs." What were the sources? What did you take from them? Specifics are important, because they reveal what you're individually adding to the project.
