Subject: Group #3 Activity Report 1
This document is to summarize the work done by group # 3 on the white paper assignment this week. The week of March 30-April 4. This week our group collectively chose the topic of our white paper to be personal sustainable energy. We have decided, as a team, that the layout of our white paper will be a 2 fold/3 panel brochure style document that will focus on using shades of green for added color detail. Our white page document will be complete with supporting images.
The sections of our white page document will be broken down into a section about solar power, one on wind power, and another on geothermal power. Within our white page we will also have a section about more energy efficient products for the home and their advantages. Our group will collaborate on our research so that we are all using credible sources, and so that we are not repeating any of the same information. Our group will also include the pros and cons of energy efficiency in order to take a much unbiased approach to our white paper.
Each group member has given their ideas to the team, and each group member has been assigned a specific section of the project to research, in depth, in the coming days ahead. Our group has had a great deal of email communication this week and has made plans to meet, in person, at the beginning of the coming week in order to do further research as well as begin formatting the final draft. We will each be writing separate sections of the document, but will come together later in the week to critique to document, as well as proofread the entire document. We will choose our images as a group in order to coordinate them so that they flow together nicely. Each member of the group has different skills that they are good at, that they are bringing to the team, and we will focus this coming week on coming together, in person, to piece together a very easy to read white page document.
Brochure vs. White Paper
While this is most likely a function of this being the first activity report, note that much of it is in the future tense. Make sure that in the future you report on the work you have done.
Note: a white paper is not a brochure, so the layout you have planned will not work.
