Individual Activity - Group 8

During week one, I was introduced into Group 8 with a series of introduction emails. I began the week by sending an introduction email to all the group members. Once a reply email was sent from all members, we began the brain storming process for our project topic. Once a topic was selected a group member established a Google Document page and sent a link to all members. I then established a Google account using my Purdue email and began the editing of the document.

Once our group concluded that we were going to split the large portions of the project to certain individuals, I thought of how I could help out in the first week. Because another group member chose to do the proposal for the project, I chose to do the first group activity report for the week while the other group members edited the proposal. With a constant stream of emails still in our inbox’s, we decided to meet on Monday April 6, 2009 to get organized for the remainder of the class. To conclude the first week of the project I am writing the first personal activity report. It seems like the project is going to go a lot smoother than I thought.

Make sure that you are providing concrete specifics about your contributions. You state: "Once a topic was selected a group member established a Google Document page and sent a link to all members." What was your contribution to the process of selecting a topic? Concrete contributions should be your focus, because they reveal what you individually added to the project. This is important, because your group mates will be reviewing these blogs later as a record of your value to the group.
