Subject: Individual Activity Report 1
This week I did my best to help the group get started on our project. During the first few days we wanted to brainstorm a few ideas for a topic, so I took a look at http://www.bitpipe.com/ and other resources to see what might be feasible. The main page gives several popular topics, and I suggested about four of them that were of interest to me.
After coming up with a list of possible topics, each of us voted for our favorites. From there I decided that it would be a good idea to connect the group through Google Docs as soon as possible. By creating documents for the project proposal and the weekly activity update, I gave the group the opportunity to collaborate on the project drafts by Tuesday evening.
To complete the section of the proposal related to potential information sources, each group member was asked to find three resources. I found http://www.windowsecurity.com/, http://www.microsoft.com/, and http://netsecurity.about.com/. Each site has articles that explain the importance of network security, but they also include several options for implementing it.
Lastly, each of us chose a segment of the group proposal to write. My choice was the audiences. After collaborating with the group on possible primary, secondary, tertiary, and gatekeeper readers, I was able to write this section of the paper and add it to our document. When the proposal and activity report were completed, I took the opportunity to review each document and provide feedback to the group before submission.
During this upcoming week, I plan to begin my research for next week’s blog.
re: Week 12 - Davies Report
OK, this is a fine report. You don't really need that header. It was for a memo report that was emailed.
