This week for Group 8 was a productive one. On Monday we all met in a chat room via AIM. There we discussed how we wanted to approach the project. We had found that our audience for our white paper needed a more specific audience. In our proposal we stated that our primary audience would be political leaders. We learned that this audience is too broad and needed to be more specific; therefore, we narrowed our primary audience to someone that is in charge of making new policies for energy, such as the Secretary of Energy. This will help us to focus more on renewable energy in our country.
We also discussed who would be in charge of what project. We established that certain people would be in charge of a section of the white paper, but after they put together a rough draft everyone else would edit the document. This allows everyone to have an input for every document. Also, we established that we would meet on AIM every Monday evening to keep up-to-date on our progress throughout the week.
This week I was in charge of the Gantt chart. I put together the rough draft through Excel and then e-mailed it out to everyone. I took everyone's suggestions and edits and put them together to make the final draft. With the discussions on AIM and putting together the Gantt chart, we were able to establish who would be in charge of each of the rest of the documents.

OK, so in the US that's Steven Chu. This will frame how you present the white paper, because someone like a state governor would have different options.
