Thumbnail White Paper-Group 6

Group6 Thumbnail Feedback

I like the use of colors you have here. Especially having the background coloring. I think blue is a great color for us to use considering we will probably have some screenshots of browsers in our white papers. The blue background flows well with the blue frame of the screenshots.

The only suggestion I really have is maybe to move the figure to the body of the text. I like the idea of the column but it kind of limits the size of the figure. Especially if we did use screenshots, they would be really hard to see if they were that small. We could always consider moving some breakout text and summaries over to the column instead of a figure. Of course small figures would still work there, as long as they don't have too much detail.

I like the color scheme you have picked for your thumbnail. It's very easy on the eyes and the box for the graphic stands out and is easy to read. I might consider using white for the background color, however. The blue looks good but I think it takes away from the text a bit. The overall style of your thumbnail looks effective and the headings stand out. This format looks like it would work well. Another suggestion I would offer is to have some text next your graphics to explain some key points or what the graphic is illustrating.

I think you've done an excellent job with the thumbnail, and I'm honestly very happy we put you in charge of the design. I think your design is simple enough that it won't be visually distracting, but is at the same time visually stimulating and fairly original. I think we should talk about the color scheme; I like the use of blues, but I don't think I like the green.

Your fonts look great and are framed well. I also really like that you've devoted a lot of space for writing. The layout looks good, except that the ragged right alignment sticks out because it's at the boundary for the white space. I think we can increase the left margin a little bit to house some punctual text breakouts and run the text all the way to the right, keeping our images where you have your example, but with text wrapped around them.

Also, as I mentioned in my comment to Bill, I think we need to limit our use of screen shots. They take up a lot of space and don't really provide much support if any for an argument.
