English 421Y: Technical Writing Online

My part of the research is to find the public opinion of each phone and to make this information available to the reader. Not really giving a bias opinion of what people have said, but to give the reviewer a chance to get a good feel for each phone and how they compared.

My first website that I found was http://reviews.cnet.com/apple-iphone-3g/. This gave me a pretty good comparison of the IPhone and the Blackberry Storm. At this website there was a list of what each of the phone had, such as hardware, software, and operating systems. There is a video clip from Cnet explaining what was liked about each phone and rated each category, operating, style, usability, and an overall judgment. This website was to be an informative website to the public and not trying to be bias towards a specific phone.

From the websites review,s it is possible to create a strong hold of how to compare the public opinion of: features, design, and performance of each phone. For example on of he features of the phone that was comparable was the use of external memory. The Blackberry Storm is capable of having and external memory added, where the Iphone only has its internal memory size with no port for a micro SD chip. This was an issue that was brought up in some of the reviews some people like having the option to transfer data through an external memory device rather than only being able to plug a phone into a computer.

Overall, I think that this website has given me a lot of good information to compare the public opinion of the IPhone versus the Blackberry Storm.
