RR week 3

There have been many other instances of companies having mishaps and causing big errors. Each of these potentially could have cost the company. Many companies have been able to learn for other company’s mistakes and change potentially devastating events to turn into the time to shine. It seems like the smart idea to have a plan in mind when dealing with a crisis. It is important to act swiftly and show that they care. I have heard of situations where a company has had to deal with a crisis, and did a very good job, and got praised for the media for it.

Jet Blue

This article talks about what happened in February of 2007. It explains how their CEO got really up set about the whole situation. The CEO was the founder of the company, and it makes sense that he would be so worried about the situation. It seems as though they were trying to keep flights moving, however, they were unable to these planes in the air, thus causing a lack of communication and many upset passengers. It points how other companies have made mistakes as well, but JetBlue mistake lasted several days.

Resume extravaganza

Well to begin, I think this is sort of odd because I don’t know the job position I am looking to hire. So I am going to base this off of a strong objective statement which clearly states their desire and has solid supporting information, or those which look to be very well round individuals.

13 – Seems to have good work experience related to animal care. It also appears she has done a lot at each of her jobs.

22 – Has relevant work experience and achieved a lot at each of her summer internships

Reading Response 2

A few weeks back at work there was an email out to the entire company about a guest speaker that was being hosted later in the week. This speaker was for Gay Pride week. One person found this email very offensive and responded to all people in the company expressing his anger in the fact that there was Gay Pride week and not a heterosexual week, soon after this person was fired. I think this person broke a lot of the ten habits of successful emails, and caused him his career.
