The readings about context and rhetoric showed me the importance of knowing your audience and anticipating each person’s reaction to your message. On page 10 of The Thomson Handbook, I thought it was very interesting that taking one word out of a film review that was negative and placing it in a different context, the film’s newspaper promos, would make it positive. This example showed how easily it is to change the context or for the audience to misinterpret something by the context.

The attached PDF file is my Employment Final Project. The file contains my job ad that I researched and applied for an internship, my job analysis of the job ad, my cover letter, resume, and my final project assessment. This was a great project and I'm glad I had the chance to learn so much from this project!
From my readings and previous knowledge of the JetBlue crisis in February, I think JetBlue could have handled the crisis in a more effective way. In the article, Managing Communications in a Crisis – Chapter 3: “Stakeholders and Audiences”, one of the main points was planning ahead and being prepared for the worst. The article gave examples of the results of companies that planned ahead and those that didn’t plan ahead. With an airline company, like JetBlue, I would think there would be many types of plans for all worst case scenarios, especially dealing with airplanes and weather.
I found the following article to be very interesting concerning the JetBlue Crisis. The article can by found with the following link:

Please give me feedback and comments! I will greatly appreciate it! Thanks!
This was a great activity! I've never viewed resumes from the "other side" before. I've only looked at my resumes or my friend's resumes to help them. I've never read resumes like an HR coordinator and now I realize how difficult their job must be on a daily basis!
Please post comments and suggestions! Thanks for your feedback in advance!
