Work Blog #4, Week 8

This week my group and I worked very diligently for the completion of our project. We took into consideration all of the comments made from both Weber's Group #3 and from the CFRC. My group members and I proceeded with the final draft in an assembly format. Marius initiated making the revisions for the final draft on Sunday and the outcome was very pleasant. The next piece of advice from both the CFRC and Weber's Group #3 was to add a background and more visuals. I added another visual and found a complementary background that looked very nice.

Seeman Work Blog Week #8

This week was very successful for our group. On Saturday night, I talked to David on AIM and he sent me his changes to the brochure. He changed the Santa graphic to say “Bring Out Your Inner Santa” instead of “Bring Out The Inner Santa.” After he sent me the new Santa graphic, I formatted it so the background would match our background color. I e-mailed my group members on Saturday to figure out times for availability to meet. Due to different schedules, I met with Ben on Monday night on AIM and we worked on the changes that the CFRC commented on our brochure.

Work Blog Week 8 - Bryce Sexton

This week was another busy week for our group. Once again our group split up the work so that we could divide the work and all do our part. Kim and Pratyush worked on the Caring document while Soo Yun and I worked on the General information document. I am not sure how Kim and Pratyush split up the work, but Soo Yun and I split it up so that she would do the design after I emailed her my revisions. The reason that we split the work up this way is because I do not have Microsoft Publisher. We made our revisions after the Clinton County Humane Society made their comments.

Sanchez Work Blog Week #8

This week went very well with the project. We received feedback from members of group 1 of Tirrell’s class, the Humane Society, and the instructor the week before and this week we applied those revisions to the project. The Humane Society had a lot of constructive criticism which gave the group a different perspective to look at when editing both brochures. Stephen had emailed his changes to me over the weekend because he was going out of town and would not have access to a computer. No problems came up since no one had to take over his part in the project.

Soo Yun Work Blog Week 8

It was last week of making the final revision of the brochure. I was in charge of general information brochure from the beginning so I continued making the brochure look more professional. First I went over the comments of our instructor for the second draft. Then I reviewed the comments from Clinton Humane Society. I started making changes of what our instructor has made and then focused on what Humane Society asked us for.

Soo Yun Work Blog Week 7

The week 7 was more challenging than last week since there were second draft to due, peer editing and reading response. I revised the general information brochure as the comments from our instructor. There was huge change in the contents since I was confused with The Humane Society in United Sates and Clinton Humane Society in Indiana. So we had to actually change all the information we provided in the first draft into information from Indiana’s Clinton Humane Society into our own words.

Eagan Work Blog Week 8

This is the final work blog for the service learning project. My work week began over the weekend. After reviewing the comments left by the peers and the CFRC I began to brainstorm new ideas for the brochure. I made some quick changes on the brochure that they had requested and attempted to send this out to the group. The file was too big and I later sent this file over AIM to some of the members. Our group spoke via email to set up times to continue to discuss changes needed for the brochure. I reviewed the group update to be sent to the instructor over the weekend and submitted my changes.

Kottke Work Blog Week 8

Well it was our last week of class and our group really had a lot of work to do to get our final draft in presentable status. We started by just corresponding through emails about what had to be done based upon on the feedback that we had gotten the week before from fellow students and the CFRC. Then I suggested that someone should compile everything that we have been talking about and all the feedback we have received into a list. Bill stepped forward once again and made a list of revisions that had to be made.

BELIAKOFF Work Blog Week 8

Our team was really productive this week. Everyone was on top of their work and made sure to get it done on time so the next person could work on their part. Ultimately our final draft was done with a lot of time to spare; this allowed us to have plenty of time to make final adjustments. In addition, our group communicated very well via the wiki, updating what they have been working and commenting on the work of others.

Macko Work Blog Week 8

During Week 8, I worked very hard to produce a final draft of our brochure. I began the week by finishing the Group Activity Report and submitted it on Sunday. I then sent out an email to our group outlining the plan for the week. I was in charge of finishing the Caring For Your Pet brochure. I received Pratyush’s text and edited it for a few minor errors. I printed off a copy of our second draft and edited the necessary areas. I then used this to make changes for our final draft. I utilized the instructor comments to fix errors such as those in grammar.
