This week my group and I worked very diligently for the completion of our project. We took into consideration all of the comments made from both Weber's Group #3 and from the CFRC. My group members and I proceeded with the final draft in an assembly format. Marius initiated making the revisions for the final draft on Sunday and the outcome was very pleasant. The next piece of advice from both the CFRC and Weber's Group #3 was to add a background and more visuals. I added another visual and found a complementary background that looked very nice.
This week my group and I worked very productively on our second draft of our brochure. Monday night we met on AIM to discuss the revisions that needed to be made. Marius had prepared ahead of time with the first start of revisions which was a great asset to assisting us in the completion of the second draft. We each had a part of revising the brochure, in particular our individual sections that we constructed for the first brochure. The major change made on our brochure was in the volunteer opportunity section, which consisted of a summarizing the tasks/responsibilities.
This 5 Minute Brochure Trash Test Reading is a great asset to evaluate our brochure before submitting the final draft.
5:00 Appeal to Emotions - My group's brochure definitely strikes the chord of reminiscinse of memorable christmas's celebrated with family and friends. The attempt of the brochure is to appeal to the public to continue the spirit of Christmas by volunteering their time or donating money or clothes. By sharing either your time or financial support benefits not only the CFRC, but also garners personal satisfaction by giving of one's self.
My group and I accomplished a lot this week. We did, however, run into some difficulties with the Course Chat Room. This posed a problem for us to communicate on Tuesday evening and I suggested that Melissa and I communicate on AIM. She had started a group chat room, which was a great asset and notified the other members to get on AIM when they could. We all came to a consensus that we should each do an individual part and pass the document on through email.
By reading chapters 24 & 37, I gained a better understanding of how to communicate effectively the ideas that our group is trying to accomplish. In order to compose an interesting and attractive, as well as, informative brochure, my group members and I followed the necessary principles to develop our first draft. There are, however, some areas that need to be tweaked such as, adding more visuals and decrease some of the writing.
Our first introduction on the internet through email was interesting and pleasant. The participants gave background information, as well as, a daily schedule of their daily activities. Realizing that everyone is either working or is participating in an internship, we knew that this group project was going to be a difficult assignment. As of right now, two other members of my group participated very well to accomplish our first task of the Gantt Chart.

Please leave some comments. Thank you.
I found chapter 1 on writing and rhetoric in context to be very informative. I learned that "context shapes your motive for writing about and, thus, acting on the world". "As a writer yourself, you already know that one of the greatest challenges is to use the right word at the right time in the right place." I believe that this a great quote that every writer should live by. In regards to selecting the proper words for a given occasion, I agree with the greek concept meaning of timelessness and suiting the word for occasion, "kairos".
