I thought all of the readings for this week were very interesting and brought up good points for consideration. I believe the JetBlue crisis was handled very well and it was good to see the different things that the company did to make sure that this kind of event would not happen again. It was nice to see that someone was actually doing the right thing in handling an event such as the one that they had. It seems that we are hearing more and more everyday about companies trying to cover themselves and not being ethical to their consumers.
The article that I found to be pretty interesting concerning the Jet Blue crisis was found on Forbes.com and was titled, "JetBlue's Survival School."

This activity was very interesting to me because it helped me understand what employers many times do. We only had to go through about thirty five resumes so I can only imagine going through at least hundreds. It would take a large amount of time to go through and read every detail on the resume. When I was going through the resumes the first thing that I looked at was the organization of the resume. If I felt that it was difficult to read or a little hard to understand I usually just skipped over it. I then looked at the content of the page.
In the resume readings I thought it was interesting how often it was noted that employers do not spend hardly any time at all going over resumes. The times that they said were just around thirty seconds. This does not seem like a lot of time for an employer to evaluate someone, so it just shows how important it is to do a good job on your resume. You must make sure that you get to the point and also use keywords that they will be looking for. It is also important to make sure that it is presentable and looks well developed.
