The second piece of research I found covers a little different of an audience that we would still like to adhere to. Schools overseas are also concerned with this matter. While our audience is intended to adhere to smaller schools, this is just fine. There are plenty of small schools overseas. So, I found an article outlining this subject over in the United Kingdom. Turns out several schools over there are also following this economic plan.
For my first piece of research I have found an article outlining a case study of an actual school system in Portnland, OR that has implemented an Open Source solution over a Microsoft solution. The article goes into the cost analysis and how the managed some of the different costs and what the benefits and downfalls were of each implementation that they looked into
For this research blog, I will focus on the websites that will give statistical data and factual reports about nuclear power in the United States. Such websites include the Department of Energy website, http://www.energy.gov/energysources/nuclear.htm, and the website of the Nuclear Energy Advisory Committee, http://www.ne.doe.gov/.
In my first research blog I will be summarizing the information that I have found from http://learningremix.emich.edu/Winter08/learning_remix/2008/01/advantage... for my white paper project. The information from this website has information from a Learning Community at Eastern Michigan University from 2008.
My research blog will consist of possible solutions relative to Group 2’s White Paper Project topic, domestic wind turbines. There are several different companies that offer alternative energy solutions. The companies that I researched are Swift Wind Turbine and Skystream. Both are accountable companies that offer wind turbine products for households. These options will be explained in further detail in our white paper as possible sources for wind turbine technology.
The general theme that seems to surface in my research on Internet Explorer is that the browser is simultaneously the most used and most criticized browser available. This means, for one that it's a little hard to find unbiased info about IE. Secondly, because IE is the most widely used, it is also a sensible target for malware developers who want to affect as many machines as possible.
Benefits vs Drawbacks of SharePoint, GoogleApps, EMC Documentum
This information could easily be integrated into a graphic to illustrate the benefits vs drawbacks of similar features among these technologies.
Increased collaboration:
All three of the technologies allow for increased collaboration, but each has its own “defining feature” that should be discussed.
