SCHILLING Work Blog Week 7

Well this week our group came though like usual. Melissa sent out an email asking when the best time to meet would be, and also if we could meet on AIM again. The AIM situation seems to still be the best way to communicate as a group. We finally decided to meet at 830pm on Monday evening. I would arrive later becaause I work unhttp://www.digitalparlor.org/su07/420Y1/node/add/blog

Reading Response Week 7

5:00 Appeal to Emotions: +

I think that the people who read our brochures will be able to connect with them. The images that we used play a large role in creating this appeal to the emotions of our readers. The text is focused on the reader and allows them to understand each section of the brochure well.

Work Blog Week 7

This week we received the feedback on our brochure from Ryan. Overall both our brochures did nicely but could definitely be edited to be more professional and geared toward the Clinton County Humane Society. Daniel did some editing on the general brochure's design. It took into account the color scheme and toned down the color so that it was more reader friendly. When I got the revised design on Monday afternoon, I looked at the reviewed brochure and made many changes to the content. First, I edited the directions to the CCHS on the back panel.

BELIAKOFF Work Blog Week 7

This week wasn’t as productive as last week. We had some communication problems that kind of let everyone in doubt of what was going on. However, we were able to get the necessary work done and successfully complete our second draft of the brochure. Again, my main task for the week was to make sure that our design was correct and that everything was formatted correctly. This proved to be a challenge because we ended up deciding to change the size of our brochure and add another two more panels.

WOOD- Work Blog Week 7

This week, our group continued to work well as a cohesive unit. I began the week by sending out an e-mail to the group on Saturday to decide on a meeting time for Monday to work on the second draft of our project. We decided to meet on Monday around 8:30pm because our entire group could meet at that time instead of having to split the work like at our last meeting. Again, we used an AOL chat room because the class chat provided does not work for most of our members.

Crash Test - RR # 7

5:00 Appeal to Emotions: +

I believe that our brochure will appeal to the emotions of our target audience. By incorporating the pictures of the underprivileged children that our event helps, the reader can see first hand how his or her volunteer involvement can make a difference. Also, the text explains the event, further drawing the audience into the good feeling they would have about themselves if they were to volunteer.

Reading Response Week 7

I think that our brochure has effectively been able to pull on the heartstrings of the readers, creating the right amount of emotional appeal. Within our brochure we try to appeal the people’s better nature by trying to get them to volunteer and show them examples of why they should contribute and what they will get out of such an experience. Part of this was achieved through the use of photographs, which are depictions of the event and past volunteers.

Tirrell Group 2 Draft 2

Both our grayscale and color are attached. We have a few tiny issues but we think it's improving quite a bit.
