Brochure

The reading Brochure I found can be seen at:
http://www.ricoh.com/r_dc/support/brochure/pdf/r30.pdf .

I think the first page of the brochure is very efficient, it calls attention, its contrasting, accurate, and pertinent. Yet the second part of the brochure (pg 2) has a lot of writting jammed into it. If looks crowed and its very confusing. It lacks contrasts, however its very pertinent to the specification and requierements one must know when purchasing a camera.

Reading Response Week 5

The brochure I found was put out by the American Red Cross Organization and it talks about family contingency plans in case of various natural disasters. This is a very informative brochure and is organized in a very logical way. It starts by creating awareness about disasters and portrays through images the places the natural disasters can occur. The brochure then moves onto steps required to ensure family safety, methods of loss and damage prevention and then provides a to-do list in case a disaster does occur.

The Brochure I chose was of The Oxford English Dictionary Online. The brochure talks about the history of the oxford dictionary on one page and then goes on to talk about the benefits of having the dictionary online. It talks of the different features the online dictionary will have its user friendliness and finally asks for help from the public to update the dictionary.

Brochure Analysis: Readin Response 5

The brochure I found was put out by the US Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, National Weather Service, and the American Red Cross. It is an informative document about disaster preparedness and includes a special tornado safety section aimed at schools. The document can be found at: http://www.nws.noaa.gov/om/brochures/ttl.pdf.

Reading Response 5

After reading chapter 25, I found the information to be very helpful. The information is very detailed and designed to help set the brochure up step by step. The chapter helped to explain what was necessary for the brochure to be efficient to all readers. The chapter gave wonderful examples also, which were helpful. I did research and looked through many examples of brochures online. I found a lot I liked, but many were very cluttered. The brochure I hope to make with my other group members will hopefully be very organized.

The brochure that I chose online was one about how to prepare for tornados and thunderstorms. You can find a copy at http://www.nws.noaa.gov/om/brochures/ttl.pdf. I chose this brochure because I thought it displayed all of the aspects that I read about in the text to make a good publication. The front cover drew you to the publication with the amazing pictures of natural disasters. The colors and alignment they used was described exactly in chapter 25. They choose to align the pictures of center on opposite sides of the paper.

Reading Response #5

The brochure I chose to analyze was made by the United States Environmental Protection Agency. It was used to promote green scaping as way to have a greener and healthier lawn. The brochure can be found at http://www.epa.gov/oppfead1/Publications/catalog/greenscaping.pdf. The brochure uses several of the design elements found in Chapter 25 of the textbook. One of the design elements, contrast, can be found in the first two pages of the brochure. Both pages have pictures taking up the entire background.
