This report is the summary of my individual progress toward the White Paper project, using research from the previous weeks to create a rough draft for the White Paper itself, starting from last Monday (April 20) to today (April 26).

Individual Report (4)

This week was spent finishing up research, creating a detailed outline, and ensuring that everyone was on the same page. All group members agreed that a detailed outline should be completed by Monday so that writing could begin. I finished my outline for Opera and made sure everything was in order to simplify the writing process. The rest of the week was spent talking with group members to ensure we were all on the same page.

Week 15 Individual Activity Report

This week, each group member worked to complete their own section of the report so that everything could be compiled before Friday. After reviewing our individual drafts from last week, we realized that some characteristics weren’t covered for all products. Also, our formats were not consistent with each other. During the first couple days, I revised my rough draft so that the information was adequate enough for the reader to make an informed decision from our paper.

This week was spent researching nuclear energy and deciding how I wanted to incorporate it into my section of the white paper.

This week our group focused our attention on collaborating all of our gathered information and obtained knowledge, and creating a unified white paper. We used time toward the beginning of the week to coordinate the design of our white paper, and settle upon a mutually acceptable format, based on our thumbnails we each created. The group eventually decided to base this format off of my thumbnail. In this way, the white paper would feature a two-column style, to take proper use of white space, and incorporate a balance of illustrations and color distribution.

Individual activity report week 15.

This week I worked on my part of the white paper project which is performance. In this part I plan on telling the reader about these products in terms of specs and how well they operate. I put them all in the same formatting and made each part almost exactly the same in terms of layout so you could figure out where the same information is in each part to create a kind of comparison type paper. I used some of the information from the previously written research blogs and also did some more research to come up with more hard date.

Individual Work Log – Week 15

It was nice to see our project come together without any giant problems this week.

I spent most of my time this week working on the layout of our white paper draft. I wrote the introduction, designed the cover page quickly using images from our report, and then created a table of contents. After formatting my own section of the draft (the introduction), I began integrating the pieces that Joe, Pat and Shane had e-mailed to me.

2 weeks notice

For this week I only had to put into words what I have researched so far for this project in order to bring our parts of the project into a whole rough draft. I took sections from my research blogs and molded them to fit into a flowing document that would work in the white paper, which made making the draft pretty easy. I also arranged a bulleted list of the specifications of my certain router that would be later put into a chart on our white paper. I also picked out some good photos from my sources in order to use them in our project.
